MASLOW’S MOTIVATION MODEL
- Personal self-motivation by values that transcend beyond the self, help
others to self-actualise
- Realising personal potential, self-fulfilment, seeking personal
growth and peak experiences
- Appreciation and search for beauty, balance, form, etc
- Knowledge and understanding, curiosity, exploration, need
for meaning and predictability
- These levels have already been explained in
Figure 2

This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one
is to become everything that one is capable of becoming.”
The top level can be further divided in to a number of sublevels as shown in
Figure 3. These four growth needs might be of great interest to any military officer.
However, highly sophisticated beings like we humans are capable of
working with several physical and mental processes simultaneously.
Subsequently, it is interesting to note that the lower levels of needs remain always
