                       The  Collection  Development  Policy  composed  of  Philosophy,
               Selection/Acquisition  Policy,  Electronic  Information  Policy,  Preservation  and
               Security of Materials, Replacement of Materials, Withdrawal/Weeding Library

               Materials, Types and Formats of Materials Collected, Gifts and Donations, and
               Standard Library Tools.



               Below is the Collection Development Policy of the Institution:



                                      COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT POLICY
               COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT, ORGANIZATION AND PRESENTATION

                       The  College  Library  policies  and  procedures,  collection  development,
               organization and preservation and security of library materials and resources
               are necessary to have a comprehensive and appropriate guidance on what
               materials to be included and acquired for the library to attain the mission of

               the college and meet the purpose and goals of the college library.  Books are
               given priority in procuring  library materials,  considering also other formats
               specifically  on  provision  of  e-books  and  e-journals  and  other  non-print
               materials, subject to availability of funds.  Preservation of library materials is
               included for proper care of the library resources to be of used for a longer
               period of time.

               I.      PHILOSOPHY


                       A. MISSION

                              LIBRARY MISSION

                       The  key  mission  of  the  College  Library  is  to  support  the  teaching,
               learning,  research,  extension  service  thus  improving  the  quality  life  of  the
               people of Zamboanga del Sur and in the region.  It is committed to provide
               accessible, cost effective, and innovative information services and programs.


                       B. Goals of the Collection Development Program

                       The  library  acquires  materials  and  provides  access  to  information
               resources to help meet the instructional needs of the college and its strong
               consideration is given to titles and resources fulfilling the accreditation needs
               of the school, departments and programs.


                       The process of selection is ongoing, enabling the library to develop both
               strength in special areas balance in the general collection on books and other
               formats.  It  emphasize  on  the  current  needs  of  the  college.  Therefore,  the
               pattern of acquisition and access to resources changes to reflect changes in in
               the curriculum. The library also takes into consideration its space limitation.
