♥ In early 1960’s a Governor’s Task Force on Nursing mandated that Trenton State (now TCNJ) offer a baccalaureate

nursing program.

♥ Approved as a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in nursing, the first class was admitted in September 1966.

♥ In 1973 the RN to BSN program was established with the first graduated in 1975.

♥ In 1983 the degree offered by the School of Nursing was changed to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

♥ In 1990 an MSN degree program was approved, and the program was granted full initial NLN accreditation in spring

1994.

♥ In 1997 the School of Nursing moved to the new Paul Loser Hall (now Trenton Hall) which houses the Nursing programs

and offices of Admissions and Graduate Studies.
