♥ A subsequent comprehensive MSN curriculum revision refocused the program on family nurse practitioner education in the
                             late 90s.

♥ In July 2006, a redesign of the School of Nursing to the School of Nursing, Health, and Exercise Science to include the
Department of Health and Exercise Science and the Department of Nursing, occurred. Additionally, a $5 million gift

implemented with incoming first year students fall 2004. Examples of transformation in the BSN nursing courses
included new pedagogies such as simulation, more experiential learning opportunities such as service learning, and

course redesign to designate writing intensive courses.

♥ In 2012-2013, in light of the recommendations contained in the 2008 Consensus Model for APRN Regulation and the

reviewed the currently existing Adult NP track curriculum and determined that with relatively minor curricular changes, the

curriculum met the requirements for the Adult/Gerontology Primary Care NP specialty.
