The following day the group visited our
second sister school, Kogei High School, which
is a specialist STEM school with disciplines
in design, graphic design, indoor and outdoor
‘mechanisms’ IT and machinery. During their
time in Nagoya, the group were able to enjoy
a reunion with the staff and students who
visited BMGS earlier this year.
Their busy itinerary was peppered with
highlights, and among these were the temples
at Kinkakuji and Kiyomizedera, the sand
garden at Ryon-ji, and Arashiyama’s famous
bamboo grove. There were also visits to the
man-made Island Odaiba, the Miraikan Science
Museum, the Toyota Mega Web, Tokyo Ferris
Wheel and Diver City, which added to the
growing list of tour highlights.
Finally, in keeping with their studies on
“Modern Tokyo”, the final day was spent at
Akihabara, Ikebukuro (to visit Sunshine City)
and Tokyo Disney.
