The following day, the SCUBA Camp group travelled to
Huskisson for their camp, the Surf Camp crew headed to
Umina Beach, and our intrepid Horseriders set up their
camp at Glenworth Valley on the Central Coast.
Many of the students in Year 10 completed the Stage 5
Wilderness Education course (Years 9 and 10) and now
have the option of taking up the 1 Unit HSC Outdoor
Education course in Year 11.
The School’s Outdoor Education programs, from Years
2 to 11, provide opportunities for our students to take
on challenges that will enable them to develop skills in
leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving. They are
encouraged to test themselves in ways that bring to the
fore their resilience and critical thinking skills; essential
qualities for life beyond school.
