Message from The Principal
of Maliyadewa College, Kurunegala.

It is acknowledged that the Colonel Henry Steele Olcott Schools hold a unique place not only
in Sri Lankan education, but also in sports and in extracurricular activities. I consider the
celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Col. Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports
Foundation, which was established 25 years ago by a group of past pupils of these schools as
a special occasion.

I am delighted to proclaim, that I have a long-standing relationship with this sports forum.
This sports forum is unique among the sports forums I have been a part of for many years
and, it can be considered as a rare occasion as it was established by a group of past pupils
of all the Olcott schools. It is commendable that they have been able to carry on this
challenging role for 25 years continuously.

For over 25 years, annual sports programs, the provision of opportunities for school children
to participate in a variety of competitions, and the organization of friendly get-togethers have
allowed current and past students to work with this school system closely and build up their
network capital. I consider it a very valuable and a rare opportunity of togetherness.

Congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the Col. Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports
Foundation!

I wish our Col. Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation a long life and I take this
opportunity to offer my sincere greetings!
