Message from The Principal

of Nalanda College Colombo.

It is with a profound enthusiasm that I pen down this brief communiqué to the souvenir
published on the very distinctive occasion of the ‘Silver Jubilee’ of ‘Col. Henry Steele Olcott
Memorial Sports Foundation, CSHOMSF, one of the dynamic and impressive organizations
that sustains interaction with fellow institutions since its inception in 1996.

It is worthwhile mentioning that CSHOMSF, has rendered a great deal of services in the field of
sports and games through numerous events with the participation of fellow institutions in
order to enhance the unity, reconciliation, brotherhood and better attitudinal bond among
each other. Namely, I should state, the annual cricket encounter of the old boys and the
schools concerned, quiz programmes, relay carnival and badminton tournaments along with
financial and material contributions contributed by the Foundation while appreciating this
immense service rendered.

In my conclusion, it is my duty to admire and pay my heartfelt gratitude towards the
president, secretary and the board of officials along with stakeholders and sponsors for their
untiring efforts taken to enliven a venture of this nature which is actually benign for the school
community and wider society as well.

I wish ‘Col. Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation’ a long life to continue her service
for the mankind and the occasion of ‘Silver Jubilee’ a great success.

May the blessings of mother Nalanda shower upon you!
