Tropane alkaloids
Tropane alkaloids are a well-recognized group of structurally related natural .1
products. The tropane alkaloids occur mainly in the plant family Solanaceae,
but are also found in other families e.g. convolvulaceae, Erythroxylaceae,
Discoriaceae and Amarylidaceae. Tropane nucleus consists of seven-
membered bicyclic ring with a nitrogenous bridge between C-1 and C-5.
