Definition :
   Bitter principles are heterogonous compounds,belong
  to different chemical groups
   They possess a characteristic bitter taste.
   They are neither belong to the class of alkaloids nor to
   glycosides.
  They are abundant in certain plant families especially
  Compositae, Labiatae, Gentianaceae and Umbellifereae.
