2-Cucurbitacins
They occur in family Cucurbitaceae (cucumber, melon,
pumpkin and colocynth) and in other families
Medicinal use:
emetics, narcotics, and antimalarials.
They have cytotoxic and antitumour activities.
The two main triterpenes are cucurbitacin E and
cucurbitacin I.
