Titration curve for strong acid with strong base
• This titration is the simplest and most accurate of acid-base
titrations.
• This titration can be divided into two main parts: before the
equivalence and after the equivalence point.
• Before the equivalence point: the sample solution is still acidic so
we calculate concentration of the remaining acid (unreacted acid)
⎯→ pH.
• After the equivalence point: the sample solution becomes basic so
we calculate concentration of the remaining base (unreacted
base) ⎯→ pOH ⎯→ pH.
