Applications of Acid-Base Titrations
in Aqueous Media

• Acid-base titrations are used to determine inorganic,
organic and biological compounds that possess inherent
acidic or basic properties. Titrations can be either direct or
back.

• However, there are many other applications that involve
conversion of an analyte to an acid or base by suitable
chemical treatment followed by titration with a standard
acid or base (Indirect acid-base titration methods).
