Types of Titrations

• Titrations are classified into 3 types according to the design of the
titration: direct, indirect and back titrations.

• Direct titrations:
Just as you do in the lab. Sample (X) is directly titrated with titrant (Y).
Pipet the sample into a conical flask, add the indicator then titrate using
standard solution till you reach the end point.
