FIRST GENERATION NSAIDS:

Enolic acid
derivatives

• Piroxicam (Dispercam® ,Feldene®)

• Meloxicam (Mobic® ,Mobitil® ,Anti-cox®)

• Tenoxicam (Tenocam®)

• It was found that both meloxicam and etodolac block
COX-2,with much lower effect on COX-1 this is
correlated to their reduced stomach irritancy.
