Maintenance & Storage of Separation Column
How to Extend the Column’s Service Life?
❑ Never allow the packing material to dry: Insert an airtight stopper in
the column end.
❑ Do not allow solids to enter the column: Filter all samples.
❑ Do not subject the column to sudden pressure or temperature
changes: Use as low pressure & temperature as possible.
❑ Do not subject the column to intense shocks.
❑ Observe restrictions related to solvents, storage solution and pH
range: Make a record of storage solution and final usage conditions
and store it together with the column.
