Or virus +antiserum added to cell culture ---prevent cell
infection.
With Influenza virus attached to mucoprotein receptors
of red blood cells-----cells agglutination.
Specific antiserum coats the virus , no combination with
RBCs.
Response of the Subject
1-Maternal antibody inhibition
50% of maternal antibodies are lost every 3 weeks.
The infants were recalled 10-12 months later .Responses to
reinforced dose: high maternal antibody titre at the time of
immunization--- complete inhibition of response,
Intermediate----some response.Low----no inhibitory effect.
(not with all infections).
2-Age of infant
Older children respond ---higher( gave antibody titres)
,gamma globulin appears 4th to 12th week of life ,reach
normal levels at least six months.
Young infant does not respond as well as the one-year-old
child.
Nature of the antigen
1-ConcentrationDose-response relationship,for all
antigens in all animals , the more antigen given the
