performance:
It can be controlled by
(a) the type and amount of propellant (next slide)
(b) the nature and amount of product concentrate

Aerosol performance variables

• Space sprays generally contain a greater proportion of
propellant than do aerosols intended for surface coating
and foam aerosols contain lesser amount.

• Blends of the various liquefied gas propellants are
generally used in pharmaceutical aerosols to achieve
the desired vapor pressure and to provide the proper
solvent features for a given product.
