Cucurbitacins
They are tetracyclic triterpenoids which are of interest because of their cytotoxic
and antitumor properties.
They mainly occur in the family Cucurbitaceae, as well as other families such as
Euphorbiaceae, Cruciferae and Scrophulariaceae.
Colocynth
Colocynth is the dried pulp (endocarp) of the fruits of Citrullus colocynthis, Family
Cucurbitaceae.
