Synthetic flavone

Flavoxat

1- Flavoxate is selective urino-genital antispasmodic.

Used in treatment of urinary incontinence (urinary leakage) and
urinary frequency
It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the bladder (h help
decrease muscle spasms of the bladder and relieve difficult urination. )

(Flavoxate is a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist)

VI- Saponins

Properties:
• Saponins are a group of glycosides which are readily soluble
in water, and form lasting foam when shaken with water
• They are excellent emulsifying agents.
• Saponins have haemolytic properties. So, saponins are
extremely toxic when injected into the blood stream. However,
they are not harmful when taken orally.
• On hydrolysis, an aglycone is produced, which is called sapogenin
