Source: α-Farnesene is found in the coat of apple, it is responsible for the
characteristic green apple odor. Also found in oil of Citronalla. while
β-farnesene occurs in oil of hops.
2- Monocyclic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons:

Source: Oil of ginger.
The health benefits of ginger root oil can be attributed to its
digestive, carminative, expectorant, antiseptic and anti
inflammatory properties.
Ginger oil is used in the treatment of rheumatism, nausea, travel
and sea sickness, congestion, coughs, sore throat and colic.
3- Bicyclic sesquiterpene hydrocarbons:
a- Derivatives of naphthalene:
Cadinene

b- Derivatives of Azulene:
They have Azulene nucleus C10 H8
