Gurbani  is  all  poetry.  It  can  be

                                                      sung.  Singing  of  Gurbani  is  called

                                                      Keertan.  The  people  who  sing

                                                      Gurbani  are  called  Ragi  Jatha.

                                                      There are three people in a Jatha.

                                                      Two  people  play  Vaaja  and  one


                                                      plays Tabla.


                                                      The person who tells stories/

                                                      Sakhis  to  help  us  understand  the

                                                      messages  from  Gurbani  is  called


                                                      the Kathakaar.


                                               One sewadaar

                                               sits behind

                                               Guru Granth


                                               Sahib and

                                               waves the

                                               Chaur Sahib-

                                               the big fan.





           One  person  serves  Parshad  to  people.  He  or  she  is  called

           Parshaadia. We receive Parshaad in cupped hands.



           The  person  who  cooks  Langar  is  called  a  Laangri.  Langar  is

           served to everyone in a Langar Hall.


           We remember Waheguru when we come to Gurdwara.  When


           we think of Waheguru, we think of good things.
