Gurdwaras spend money on the programs for the Sangat as well. They
organize Gurpurab celebrations. These celebrations cost money. Gurdwaras

need to be cleaned. That costs money. Gurdwara staff like Ragis and

Kathakaars need to be paid through this Golak money.

Gurdwaras also offer free Langar to everyone who comes there. Sometimes,

Sangat organizes Langar, but sometimes Gurdwaras pay for it. So running a

Gurdwara needs a lot of money that comes from Guru Ki Golak.

Sikh Sangat is very generous. They donate a lot of money and materials to
Gurdwaras so that they can be organized nicely.
