Cultural Awareness: Sometimes, people do Peri Paina (pYrI pYxw). It means
people touch the feet of the elders and get their blessings. Most of the
times, this tradition is between a mother-in-law and a daughter—in-law.
Indian mother-in-law likes to be respected in this way. Have you ever seen
anyone do Peri Paina? Ask you mother-father or grandparents about this
tradition. We don’t follow this tradition, but we can still learn about it.
