committee of the Gurdwara Sahib and all Executive committee members serve every evening in various
capacities.
Based on various activities, he was recently selected as one of the “50 Prominent Sikhs of USA” by the
‘Young Sikh Progressive Forum’. He is also the founder-Convener of a very successful weekly Webinar
series for over two years, attended by close to 70-100 people every week where Sikh Scholars in
different fields are invited every week to discuss some important topic of interest to all.
Dr. Sachdev is also an author with an interest in Indian diaspora issues. His essays have been published
in many Indian weeklies in U.S. He has written seven books, six on the subject matter related to the
diaspora i.e., ”Square Pegs, Round Holes (2007), One Coin, Two Sides (2011) and Western Mirror, Eastern
Reflections (2017) and then “Adapting to the Adopted Culture”, “Pearls in Pebbles” and the latest this
year, “Lonely in the Crowd.” They delve into similarities and dissimilarities between Eastern lifestyle of
NRIs in a dominant Western culture and how to reconcile them together. In addition, one of the books
is related to Sikh Issues abroad titled, “Sikhism: Points to Ponder, Perspectives of Sikhs Living Abroad”.
All of his books are available free of charge except the shipping expenses.
Lately for the last four years he had initiated a very successful weekly Zoom even about Gurmat
Vichaar on Global level known as “PHX Global Gurmat Vichaar” It has close to 330 registered members
and about 60 to 100 individuals mostly Ph.D.s, M.D.s, Professors teachers and other intellectuals attend
it on weekly basis.

Dr. Amarpal Singh Khanna, Life Fellow IEEE, is a leading
practitioner and researcher in the field of RF & Microwave
Technology. He is presently an industry consultant and President of
APionics LLC. He has held leadership positions in a number of
technology companies including Hewlett Packard, Agilent
Technologies and National Instruments.
He had his engineering degree from Punjab Engineering College
Chandigarh and Doctorate of Engineering from University of
Limoges, France. He has more than 60 publications, 9 US patents
and has contributed chapters in 4 books. He has actively
participated in Guru Nanak Khalsa School activities and has been a judge at Hemkunt speech contests at
local and international level. In his free time he enjoys reciting humorous Punjabi poems and telling
jokes seriously.
