Malkeet Kaur Multani Group 3 Judge
Malkeet Kaur is a Software Test Engineer currently
residing in New York, where she has lived for the past 24
years. Born in Bidar and raised in Chandigarh, Malkeet
earned her Bachelor of Computer Science degree from
Panjab University, India.
Her deep-rooted knowledge and love for Sikhi were
instilled in her by her parents from a young age. Malkeet
is an active member of the local New York community,
contributing to various workshops and Kirtan group
activities.
For the past 13 years, Malkeet has been closely
associated with the Hemkunt Foundation. She has two children: a 22-year old daughter and an 18-year
old son, both of whom have participated in Hemkunt Foundation events in past years. Malkeet feels
honored to participate this year as an international-level judge, considering it a great privilege.
Sahib Singh developed his passion for Sikh philosophy at home from
Sahib Singh reading and conversations with his Dadhi Ji from an early age -- that
Group 3 Judge continues to this day in the same form with his Bhua Jis.
He's been an active member and leader at Sikh Youth camps and
conferences since he was eight. He has been a past judge for Hemkunt
speech competition. The ethics of Gurbani shapes Sahib's practice as a strategic designer at the
Center for Complexity at Rhode Island School of Design working to improve well-being within complex
systems. He's currently co-leading a health equity pilot with medical professionals at the University of
California San Francisco’s School of Medicine to improve health outcomes for patients with limited
English proficiency and to foster a transdisciplinary model of collaboration for strategic improvement.
Trained as a sociologist and
a designer with some science on the side, Sahib's energized about inventing structures within systems
that amplify people's abundant virtues. He holds a black belt in karate which includes training in akido,
wing chun and jujitsu.
