Actions: Warms the kidneys; disperses damp and cold, β-(1,4)-linked D-mannopyranose

alleviates pain; increases lactation. α-(1,6)-D-galactopyranose, C6

 The seeds are used medicinally with bitter and spicy taste.

 Used as a food supplement to regulated blood glucose and the production of

cholesterol in the liver.

 Fenugreek gum (seed endosperm) contains 73.6% galactomannan.

 Galactomannan has been reported to reduce postprandial blood glucose response.
