KENDO ARMOR
Traditional practitioners of a sword style will need to train
with this training armor that is worn to protect specified target 2
areas on the head, arms and body. 3
The head is protected by the Men, a stylized hel- 5
met with a metal grille to protect the face, accompa- 5
nied by a series of hard leather and fabric flaps to
protect the throat sides of the neck and shoulders. 6
The forearms, wrists, and hands are protected by Ko-
te, long, thickly padded fabric gloves. The torso is
protected by a breastplate, while the waist and groin
area is protected by the Tare, consisting of three thick 4
vertical fabric flaps.
