Before the death of Heraclius, the Caesar of the time, in
641, his treasury passed into Muslims' hands as the Muslim
armies began to conquer Byzantium's major centers during the
reigns of the four rightly guided caliphs. For example, under
Abu Bakr (ra), Jordan, Palestine, Damascus, Jerusalem, Syria,

Egypt, and other lands were taken.
In 1453, the Ottoman sul tan Fatih Sultan Mehmet
(Mehmed the Conqueror) con quered Constantinople and, fol -
low ing Byzantium's fall, the ti tle of Qaysar was no longer used.
Thus, the Prophet's (saas) pre dic tions turned out to be true.
