The Miracles of our Prophet (saas)

Badhan wait ed for a while to see if our Prophet's (saas)
words about the kis ra had come true. After some time had
passed, he an nounced that he was cer tain that our Prophet
(saas) had been sent by Allah. According to the had iths and
oth er his tor i cal doc u ments, short ly Badhan re ceived a let ter
writ ten by Shivereyh: "I killed Khosrow. When this let ter reach es
you, take the peo ple's oath of al le giance in my name. Regarding what
Khosrow wrote to you, wait and do noth ing un til there is a new com -

mand from me." 75
When Badhan and his men worked it out, they re al ized that
the Prophet (saas) had told the truth. He be lieved aft er this great

Prophet (saas) and the first Persian gov ern or to be a Muslim. 78

Our Prophet (saas) knew of events that no

one else knew about

Allah tells us about a mi rac u lous event in volv ing one of
the Prophet's (saas) wives. Once, he told a se cret to one of them,
and one of them told the se cret to some one else. After Allah
told him about this, he told that par tic u lar wife that he knew
what she had done. When she asked who had told him, he re -

plied that Allah had in formed him:
The Prophet con fid ed a cer tain mat ter to one of his wives.
But when she di vulged it [to oth er wives], Allah dis closed
that to him. So, he com mu ni cat ed part of it and with held
part of it. When he told her of it, she asked: "Who told you
of this?" He re plied: "The All-Knowing and All-Aware in -
formed me of it." (Surat al-Tahrim: 3)
