                     Avoiding Despair and Finding Peace
                              Through Faith in God


                "... Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
                (Nehemiah, 8:10)

                A heart at peace gives life to the body, but en vy rots the
                bones. (Proverbs, 14:30)


                Resentment kills a fool, and en vy slays the sim ple. (Job, 5:2)

                A hap py heart makes the face cheer ful, but heart ache crush -
                es the spir it. (Proverbs, 15:13)

                ... "In re pent ance and rest is your sal va tion, in qui et ness and
                trust is your strength, but you would have none of it." (Isaiah,
                30:15)

                The fruit of right eous ness will be peace; the ef fect of right eous -
                ness will be qui et ness and con fi dence for ev er. (Isaiah, 32:17)


                You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me
                with joy in Your pres ence, with eter nal pleas ures... (Psalms,
                16:11)

                My soul finds rest in God alone; my sal va tion comes from
                Him. (Psalms, 62:1)

                Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from
                Him. (Psalms, 62:5)

                I said to the Lord, "You are my Lord; apart from You I have
                no good thing." (Psalms, 16:2)


                He brought me out in to a spa cious place; He res cued me be -
