He [the Lord] mocks proud mock ers but gives grace to the
hum ble. (Proverbs, 3:34)
A mock er re sents cor rec tion; he will not con sult the wise.
(Proverbs, 15:12)
He who mocks the poor shows con tempt for their Maker...
(Proverbs, 17:5)
When a mock er is pun ished, the sim ple gain wis dom; when a
wise man is in struct ed, he gets knowl edge. (Proverbs, 21:11)
The proud and ar ro gant man—"Mocker" is his name; he be -
haves with over ween ing pride. (Proverbs, 21:24)
Now stop your mock ing, or your chains will be come heav i er;
the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me of the de struc tion
