WISDOM AND SOUND ADVICE FROM THE TORAH





                                       Beautiful Foods


                     Then she hand ed to her son Jacob the tasty food and the
                     bread she had made. (Genesis, 27:17)

                     And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said:
                     "Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it,
                     and make cakes." And Abraham ran unto the herd, and
                     fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto the ser-

                     vant; and he hastened to dress it. And he took curd, and
                     milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before
                     them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
                     (Genesis, 18:6-8)

                     And it shall come to pass in that day, that a man shall rear a
                     young cow, and two sheep; and it shall come to pass, for the
                     abundance of milk that they shall give, he shall eat curd;
                     for curd and honey shall every one eat that is left in the
                     midst of the land. (Isaiah, 7:21-22)


                     He made him ride on the high places of the earth, and he did
                            eat the fruitage of the field; and he made him to
                                suck honey out of the crag, and oil out of the
                                flinty rock. (Deuteronomy, 32:13)
