Besides displaying the hollow pan chang
49 knot, i.e. the hui ling knot, and the solid pan
chang knot, the design here also emphasizes the
unique arrangement of the outer loops within the
hui ling knots.Take special care in the ratio of the
hollow and solid pan chang knots and the size of
the inner space for the unique arrangement of the
outer loops.
TYING INSTRUCTIONS
1.Tie two linked hui ling knots and tie each corner
into a round brocade knot with thirteen outer loops,
wrapping every fourth loop. Ensure that the over-
lapped outer loops are all on the front or on the
back.
2. Use four outer loops on each inner side of the
hui ling knot to tie the central pan chang knot.Tie
according to the draft layout where the outer loops
have already been properly arranged.
