Continuing north . . .


        Follow the A822 all the way to Crieff


        7.8 mi  56.3428, -3.84125  Drummond Castle Gardens to the left. The formal planting and
        attention to detail in the layout has placed Drummond Gardens in the list of finest gardens in
        Europe. When you visit, don’t forget to explore the kitchen garden and glasshouses that provide
        much of the raw materials for the formal areas. You may even have the chance to purchase some
        of the surplus produce.


        You will come into Crieff on Burrell St with a distinctive church directly ahead of you.

        As you come into the village you’ll pass the Waterford and Stuart Crystal shop on the right. A
        chance to buy top quality crystal at factory outlet prices. There is also a christmas shop and a
        glass making factory.

        Coming into the village you will cross the River Earn . . . hence Strathearn, Loch Earn and
        Lochearnhead.

        2.4 mi  56.3752, -3.8443  Bear l. at the monument with the stone cross on top, on to Comrie Rd,
        the A85.


        A few yards later bear l. again s/p “Crianlarich / Comrie / Lochearnhead / A85” and “Famous
        Grouse Experience”.

        0.4 mi turn l. into the Glenturret Distillery, home of The Famous Grouse Experience.


        Comrie To Lochearnhead

        18 miles, 30 mins.


                              From the Glenturret Distillery, make your way back to the A85 and turn r.

                              Go through Comrie and St Fillian then around the shores of Loch Earn.


                              As you pass through St Fillian, just opposite the Four Seasons Hotel, stop for
                              a look and a photo op of this fine fellow standing waist deep in the lake. He is
                              Still by sculptor Rob Mulholland, better known by locals as The Mirror Man.

                              At the T i/s as you come into Lochearnhead, turn l. s/p “Stirling / Callander/
                              A84”

                              If you are doing this as a day trip from Stirling or Edinburgh follow the A84
                              28.9 miles back to Stirling. It will take about 50 minutes, and another hour to
        Edinburgh.
