Hackney have powered further clear in Division One North, opening up a lead of eight
points after notching up their fourth straight win, 5-2 against Phoenix Sports. Amy Nicholson
(2), Jade Perrin, Lizzie Tucker and Kea Felix were all on target for Hackney, with Grace Laverick
and Lia Skingley replying. Sutton Utd scored eight times without reply past Victoire Ladies to
go up to second. Sophie Barnes netted a four-goal haul and Keisha Small hit a hat-trick, with Darcy
Wells completing the scoring.
In Division One South, Ashford Ladies moved into the top three with a seven-goal victory
over Hassocks. Rebecca Wyatt led the scoring by netting five times, with Jenny Newman adding
the other two. Megan Cranford, Lottie Sharp and Brooke Nicholson-Rogan accounted for the goals
as Lewes Foundation Squad won 3-0 against Newhaven.
North East League
The top of the table clash in the Premier Division ended with honours even as Hartlepool Utd
and York City shared a 2-2 draw. Robyn Foster were on target for Pools, with York scoring
through Rebecca Fevers and Sophie Tinson. Alnwick Town are up to third, one point off the
pace, after they edged out Redcar Town by the odd goal in nine. Michelle Stewart hit a hat-trick
for Alnwick and she was joined on the scoresheet by Lucy Jackman and Jenny Patterson. Elizabeth
Fraser, Rebecca Hansen, Cara Moran and Emma Hewett netted the goals as Wallsend Boys
Club beat South Shields 4-2 and Farsley Celtic won for the first time, 5-2 against Sheffield
Wednesday thanks to Ellie Casper (2), Aleah Harding (2) and Jessica Heald.
Northern Division leaders Lumley Ladies did not play and their advantage has been
trimmed to a single point by Washington Association, who scored six times without reply at
Prudhoe Town. Morgan Straughan led the scoring with a hat-trick and there was one each from
Courtney Clark and Tia McKitterick, along with an own goal. Boro Rangers went level on points
with third placed Chester-le-Street Town Development by winning their meeting 2-1, goals
coming from Jade Featherstone and Eve Jackson. Chloe Flannaghan was another hat-trick scorer,
with Faye Jardine, Eilidh Paul and Abigail Hulme adding the others, as West Allotment Celtic
defeated Bishop Auckland 6-5 to move above them in the table.
Altofts Ladies remain on top of the Southern Division despite going down to their first
defeat of the season, 4-1 at the hands of Hull Utd. Emma Smith scored a hat-trick and Millie
Sharp the other for Hull who are two points behind Altofts. Farsley Celtic Juniors made it two
wins out of two when beating Harrogate Town Develepment 7-1. Leah Balmer, Jasmin Cooper
and Katie Platts netted two goals each, with Kellie Hawkridge also on target. Kirsty Russell (2) and
Nicole Chamberlain were the scorers for Bradford Park Avenue as they won 3-2 away to
Hepworth Utd, whilst Kerry Bamford, Alish Parlett and Abby Watkinson netted for Millmoor
Ladies in their 3-3 draw with York RI, who replied through a Jodie Langstaff hat-trick.
North West League
FC United of Manchester have taken up the early running in the Premier Division following
their 2-1 victory over previous leaders West Didsbury & Chorlton. Cheadle Town Stingers
won 2-1 away to Mossley Hill and are up to third place. Crewe Alexandra won for the first
time, 4-1 against Tranmere Rovers, whilst Fleetwood Town Wrens and Merseyrail
Ladies battled out a 2-2 draw.
In Division One North, AFC Darwen defeated Penwortham Town 3-1 to take over as
the new leaders from Morecambe Res, who were beaten 6-1 by Sir Tom Finney. Blackburn
Community SC are in third place after opening their league campaign with an 8-2 victory against
Preston North End.
Northwich Vixens moved into second place in Division One South on the back of a 1-0
win away to Salford City Lionesses. In the other game, Runcorn Linnets and West Kirby
both picked up their first point of the season when their meeting ended in a 2-2 draw.
South West League
Callington Town won 2-0 away to Bishop's Lydeard to go to within three points of the leaders
in the Premier Division. Gabi Alphous and Erin Spiller netted the goals for Callington, whilst
Bideford also picked up their second victory of the season, 3-1 against Middlezoy Rovers.
Tracey Cross, Beth Ellis and Poppy Cloke scored the goals for the Devon side, with Georgia Coles
netting Middlezoy's consolation.
