North West League
Tranmere Rovers stay as the early leaders of the Premier Division although they were
unable to preserve their 100% record, being held to a 4-4 draw by third placed Cheadle Town
Stingers. Tranmere's lead has been trimmed to a single point by Merseyrail Ladies who
defeated Fleetwood Town Wrens 2-0. Salford City Lionesses bounced back from defeat
in their previous game to win 3-1 against AFC Darwen and West Didsbury & Chorlton
ran out 5-0 winners over Wigan Athletic.
Blackburn Community SC have returned to the top of Division One North after
beating previous leaders Blackpool 2-0. Penwortham Town are a third team level on
points at the top as they also won 2-0 against Morecambe Res. Penrith AFC scored nine
times without reply against Sir Tom Finney and are three points off the pace, moving above
Chorley Women Development who were beaten 5-2 by Workington Reds. Hayley
Bracken scored a hat-trick for Workington, with one apiece from Sophie Birkett and Hannah
Green. Preston North End won for the first time when they edged out Accrington Stanley
by the odd goal in seven.
A 1-0 victory over Hindley Juniors keeps Warrington Wolves Foundation two
points ahead in Division One South from Chester FC Women, who were 3-2 winners away
to West Kirby. Mersey Valley meanwhile lifted themselves into the top half as they defeated
Altrincham 5-1. Alder FC Women and Runcorn Linnets battled out a 1-1 draw and
Didsbury Ladies got off the mark with a 3-2 victory over Curzon Ashton.
South West League
Just two points cover the top four teams in the Premier Division, still headed by AFC St
Austell after they shared a 3-3 draw with third placed Ilminster Town. Both teams had a
hat-trick scorer; Jodi Cornwall for Ilminster and Lucy Solloway for St Austell. Sherborne
Town have moved into second place with a 2-0 victory away to Middlezoy Rovers, given to
them by Becky Narramore and Kayleigh Nardiello. Torquay Utd meanwhile won 3-2 away to
Marine Academy Plymouth and are two points off the pace. Ellie Bishop, Beth Everson and
Laura Lewis all scored for Torquay, with Sam Drewery and Beth Crocker replying. Wootton
Bassett Town stay in touch with the leading sides after winning 9-1 against Bishop's
Lydeard, Libby Davies scoring four times along with Lisa Coe, Madeline Elliott, Laura
Jefferies and Ellie Onions. Forest Green Rovers scored twelve times without reply against
Bideford, Charlie Rowlands hitting a hat-trick along with doubles from Kayleigh Hateley,
Sian Towler, Ashleigh Watson and Hattie Jones, Ella Hitchcox completing the tally.
Bristol Rovers have taken over as the leaders of the Northern Division on goal
difference after they won 7-1 away to Cheltenham Town Development. Libby Bell and
Rosanna Rocha each bagged braces, with the others coming from Zoe Fielden-Stewart, Annys
Turner and Jacqueline Maddock whilst Leah Rhodes netted a consolation for the home side.
Frampton Rangers slip back to second despite winning a well contested match 1-0 against
Almondsbury, Lucie Hulin scoring the only goal shortly before half time. Downend Flyers
staged a second half fightback to earn themselves a 4-4 draw with Bristol Ladies Union,
thanks to a Faith Flynn double, Victoria Corrigan and Mollie Bourne penalty. Hannah Price
was on target twice for Union along with Jess Frazer and Ruby Saunders. Mollie Robbins and
Amy Street were the markswomen for Oldland Abbotonians in their 2-2 draw with
Weston-super-Mare, who replied through Natasha Crew and Sherise Binns.
Eastern Division leaders Warminster Town did not play on Sunday and have been
joined on six points by two teams; Keynsham Town Res who defeated AEK Boco 2-0 with
goals from Charlotte Morrison and Katie Williams, and Swindon Town Development, 1-0
winners at Paulton Rovers, Ella Rooke scoring the only goal during the second half.
Chipping Sodbury Town meanwhile continued their promising start by winning 4-0 away
to Frome Town, courtesy of a brace by Sophie Kelly, plus others from Laura Curnock and
Brodie Olive.
In the Western Division, Plymouth Argyle U23 narrowed the gap on leaders
