East Midlands League
A goal just before half time by Nicola Emery gave Notts County a 1-0 victory over Anstey
Nomads and takes them ten points clear at the top of the Premier Division. Ellie Gilliatt scored
four times and the others came from Demi Barai, Tracey Duxbury-Mead and Kaitlin Peaker as
Lincoln Utd defeated Basford Utd 7-1 and this takes them into second ahead of Chesterfield,
who did not play, and Mansfield Town, 3-2 winners over Arnold Eagles. Rotherham Utd
meanwhile claimed their first win of the season, 2-1 away to Oughtibridge WM thanks to Lauren
Winter and Georgia Harris.
Gainsborough Trinity made a swift return to the summit if Division One North after an
Amy O'Brien double and an Izzy Anderson penalty earned them a 3-2 win at St Josephs
Rockware of Worksop. Grimsby Town are back in second following their first defeat of the
season, 2-1 to Sleaford Town whose goals came from Paige Wright and Jade Baker. Abby
Westerman bagged a brace as Grimsby Borough won 2-0 away to Lincoln Utd
Development.
The top of the table clash in Division One Central went the way of Ilkeston Town, who
edged out Dronfield Town 4-3 in order to replace them as leaders. Jade Eaglefield netted twice
along with Rachel Broughton-Mee and Paige Rogers for Ilkeston, who had trailed at half time,
whilst Annabel Davies hit a hat-trick in reply for Dronfield. Nottingham Trent University stay
third but are just a point off the pace following their 2-1 victory over Sherwood FC Women in
which Bea Hembrough and Mia Pinkham scored. Notts County Development meanwhile
climbed off the bottom after beating West Bridgford Colts 4-0, Phoebe Roe hitting a hat-trick
and Isla-May Theakstone the other.
Northampton Town Development have edged a further point clear in Division One
South despite being held to a 2-2 draw by improving Leicester City Ladies. Kaitlyn Crouch and
Alex Bartlett netted the goals for Northampton, whilst Leicester netted through Heidi-May Beale
and Phoebe James. Dunton & Broughton Utd are up to third after beating Kettering Town
5-2, Danielle Gilbert was on target twice along with Samantha Hargrave, Bronwen King and Emily
Miles.
Eastern Region League
Stevenage Women quickly recaptured top spot in the Premier Division by beating previous
leaders Luton Town 2-1. Victoria Neal scored for Stevenage along with an own goal, Leyah
Maddix replying. AFC Sudbury narrowed the gap with a 4-2 victory over Bedford Ladies,
courtesy of goals from Holly Kennard (2), Jessica Allen and Leonnie Bezant, whilst Mia Etheridge
netted the only goal of the game for Needham Market away to Bowers & Pitsea. Becky
Charter, Amy Josland and Poppy Smith were the markswomen for Royston Town in their 3-2
success at Haringey Borough, whilst Colney Heath moved off the bottom with a 1-0 win away
to King's Lynn Town, Kiera Ward was on target.
Division One North leaders Biggleswade Utd were beaten for the first time, going down
3-2 to Newmarket Town. Olivia Bradley, Abbie Corbyn and Holly Dryland all scored for
Newmarket, with Tayla Murray and Tashai Simms replying, but Biggleswade's lead was only
trimmed to two points after second placed AFC Dunstable drew 2-2 with Wootton Blue Cross.
Giselle Randall and Chelsea Jeffery both scored for the home side, whilst Dunstable netted through
Mollie Knox and Gemma Whitchurch. Despite that good result, Wootton Blue Cross have been left
on the bottom as Fakenham Town won 2-1 at Haverhill Rovers thanks to a Sophie Lubbock
double. Annie Posnett netted four times and Hannah Seymour-Shove added the other as St Ives
Town defeated Yaxley Phoenix 5-2 to go up to third.
Barking continue in their winning form at the top of Division One South, preserving their
lead of five points with a 5-1 success away to East Bergholt Utd. Laura Bunton, Sarah Finch,
Faith Reilly, Lindsay Sibbons and Ammarah Ali were all on target for Barking. Lawford now head
the chasing teams after Daisy Canny (2) and Georgia Box gave them a 3-2 victory over Wodson
Park. Layla Kenly and Marnie Ray both hit doubles, with Sophie Hart and Maisy Rowe adding the
others, as Billericay Town Development ran out 6-0 winners over AFC Sudbury Res and
