In the Southern Division, Millmoor Juniors Ladies wrapped up the season with a 2-0
victory over Wakefield Trinity U23, Delia Hurdiss and Abby Watkinson scoring their goals.
North West League
Tranmere Rovers made sure of the runners-up spot in the Premier Division after they won 3-0
away to Fleetwood Town Wrens. Crewe Alexandra did all they could but they will have to
settle for third place despite beating Salford City Lionesses 4-0.
Second place was on offer on the last day of the season in Division One North and it was
Haslingden - who had not been in the top two all season - who won 2-0 away to long time
leaders Blackpool to take runners-up. Preston North End follow on in fourth, they were 3-1
victors over Penrith AFC. Carlisle Utd finished off the season with another victory, this time
winning 2-1 against mid-table Accrington Stanley CT.
Curzon Ashton had clinched the Division One South title seven days earlier and they
rounded off their campaign with another victory, 4-1 away to Northwich Vixens. Altrincham
and Didsbury Ladies exchanged victories and shared the points in a double header, whilst
Alder FC Women and Wythenshawe Amateurs finished level at 1-1.
South West League
AFC St Austell are the league Champions after they held their nerve to win 4-0 away to Forest
Green Rovers and overhaul Ilminster Town's points total. Charlotte Whitmore scored all
four goals, two in each half, to spearhead a strong performance which sees the Cornish side lift
the Premier Division title at the first attempt.
It is all over as well in the Eastern Division, Warminster Town sealing the title with a 1-0
victory over Swindon Town Development in their top of the table clash, Maddie Brown
scoring the only goal of the game. Paulton Rovers look set to finish third after beating
Keynsham Town Res 4-1. Molly Haskins, Summer Hemmings, Beth Knight and Tracey
Rouemaine all scored a goal apiece for Paulton, with Keynsham's consolation coming from Olivia
Bees. Millie Light and Martha Wyatt were on target for Frome Town as they shared a 2-2 draw
with AEK Boco, who scored through Lucy Atkinson and Eloise Nicholas.
The third title in the league to be decided on Sunday was that of the Western Division,
where Liskeard Athletic put themselves in an unassailable position with a 6-0 victory against
Helston Athletic. Lucy Jones, Ezme Wells and Chloe Williams all scored twice to take Liskeard
above long time leaders Plymouth Argyle U23.
West Midlands League
Stourbridge are closing in on the league title and require one more win after scoring seven
times without reply past second placed Lichfield City. Carly Aldred bagged a hat-trick and the
others came from Ellie McGovern, Ruby Meeson, Esme Moran and Niamh Murphy. Sutton
Coldfield Town's challenge was dealt a huge blow as they were beaten 2-0 by Kidderminster
Harriers, who defeated a second title challenger in three weeks. Tilly Pearson and Dani Selmes
scored the goals for Kidderminster. Neve Platt and Angel Scandrett scored the goals as Coventry
Sphinx battled out a 2-2 draw with Redditch Utd, who replied through Naeve Foy and Jade
Guppy.
Shrewsbury Town's dominance of Division One North is showing no signs of slowing up.
The title winners won 5-0 against second placed Walsall Wood to open up a huge lead of fifteen
points, Libby Veitch netting twice along with further goals from Madison Jones, Vikki Owen and
Zoe Child. Wood must now wait and see if their points total will be overtaken by Shifnal Town
in the chase for the runners-up position.
The last match of the season was played in Division One South and it saw Leamington
Lions win 3-2 away to Kingfisher. Kitty Jones, Bonnie Mountford and Kiran Sangha all scored
for Leamington, with Lauren Pearson and Jessica Lingham replying.
Shifnal Town are through to the Division One North Cup Final after a 3-1 victory away to
Coventry City. Maria Bell, Jenna Boddison and Jada-Mia Lee all scored a goal apiece, with
Lauren Bailey-O'Toole grabbing a consolation for Coventry. Shifnal will await the winners of the
other semi final between Shrewsbury Town and Walsall Wood, which is being played this Sunday.
