that Ford had placed as a mark. All the while the lighting men
would be checking lights and when Ford was happy (5 or more
tries later) John Wayne would step in and they’d shoot it for
real.
He said that Maureen O’Hara was from Dublin and her name
was originally Fitzsimons. He is quite the flatterer to both of us
and we found him absolutely delightful. He owns the
restaurant/bar and a farm out back and we notice there are gas
pumps outside so he has quite a business. His wife is the cook
and the waiter is one of his five sons. He makes a riddle out of
that by asking – if each of his five sons has a sister how many
children did he have? Of course the answer is six. We ask to
take his picture and he posed with each of us.
