P. 89

Advance notice is required so that the necessary time off can be scheduled at the beginning or

end of the work shift, whichever provides the least disruption to the normal work schedule.

You will be required to submit a voter's receipt on the first working day following the election
to qualify for paid time off. Time off to vote should be recorded in the same manner as other
        administrative leave with pay (ALWP).

        Jury Duty

NWF encourages you to fulfill your civic responsibilities by serving on jury duty when required.
Employees in an eligible classification may request up to four (4) weeks of paid jury duty leave
        over any one year period.

Jury duty pay will be calculated on your base pay rate times the number of hours you would
otherwise have worked on the day of absence, but not including potential overtime. Employee
classifications that qualify for paid jury duty leave are:

       • regular full-time employees

       • regular part-time benefit eligible employees (regularly scheduled to work at least 20
           hours per week)

If you are required to serve jury duty beyond the period of paid jury duty leave, you may use
any available paid time off (excluding sick leave) or may request leave without pay. Requests
must be submitted to HR and leave must be coordinated with HR along with written

documentation from the court confirming the date and time you are required to report for
       jury duty.

You must show the jury duty summons to your supervisor as soon as possible so that your
supervisor may make arrangements to accommodate for your absence. Of course, you are
expected to report for work whenever the court schedule permits. Benefit eligibility will

continue while on a paid leave status.
NWF reserves the right to recover any amount you receive from any court as compensation
for jury duty service to the extent that you have received jury duty pay from NWF.

        Witness Duty

You will be granted unpaid time off to appear in court as a witness when subpoenaed by a
party other than NWF. You may take any available paid leave benefit (excluding sick leave) or
you may request leave without pay. Notification must be submitted to the Human Resources

Department along with documentation of the subpoena.
If you are subpoenaed by NWF or otherwise requested by NWF to testify as witnesses or are
required to appear in court on behalf of NWF, you will be paid your regular pay for the time

you are away from work complying with the subpoena or request.
