importance of symbols, the meaning of dreams. Would important, busy
men today be as willing to contemplate a change of plan, to abandon the

logic of power politics and self-preservation? Are these Magi wise enough
to be foolish? Having followed a star, will they follow the leading of a
       dream?

Epiphany means a manifestation – a discovery, a showing, bringing into
the light of day, seeing plainly. In the helpless child in his mother’s arms,
they saw the Messiah: a powerful moment of epiphany. And now this
dream shows them something else. It is a little epiphany, a way of seeing
that everything is not as it seems: that there is another level of truth, and
       a different way home.

At this Epiphany we pray that each of us may see things in a new light,
be turned round and discover the importance of taking a different way.
       Amen

       Blythswood Shoeboxes -

As usual, in February we begin our Shoebox
collection ready for packing in November.

Blythswood usually collect our packed boxes at the
       beginning of December.

                               In February we collect
small toys, hair brushes and combs.
We also collect gloves, hats and scarves, as well as socks and
pants for boys, girls, men and women.

Needless to say, all suitable items are welcome at any time, so
please remember the collection box is in the Church Vestibule all
       through the year.
       Thank you. Ann Farrer
