A new drop-off zone just for taxis at Adelaide
Airport is expected to significantly free up space
for other drivers picking up and dropping off
passengers.
Taxis will now drop passengers on Atura Circuit,
between the terminal and the Atura Hotel.
Taxis currently share the general drop-off zone
with all other cars and account for up to 30 per
cent of traffic at peak times.
“The front of the new taxi drop-off zone is
closer to the terminal than the existing drop-
off zone under the main carpark, so will be
more convenient for taxi customers,” said
Brenton Cox, the airport’s finance and corporate
executive general manager.

“A new undercover walkway will also protect
customers from the elements.

“Creating a new dedicated taxi drop-off facility
adjacent the terminal also frees up space in our
existing drop-off zone for other drivers.”

Taxi passengers will enter the terminal through
the northwestern doors next to international
arrivals and Hudsons Coffee.
