THE BiTS INTERVIEw: Mitch Laddie

Mitch Laddie is a UK-based guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter

whose genre-defying sound fuses blues, rock, funk, and soul

into a powerful, emotive blend.

Known for his soulful voice, intricate guitar work, and

boundary-pushing production, Mitch has earned acclaim as
one of the most exciting musicians of his generation.

Ian McKenzie spoke to him on the telephone.

ML: Hello.

BiTS: Hello, Mitch?

ML: How we doing?

BiTS: Yes, it's Ian McKenzie, Mitch. Thank you
for agreeing to speak to me. I’ll tell you what I

want to do, I want to talk to you a bit about your
background and then of course, about the new
record.

ML: Yeah, sounds good.

BiTS: Tell me something about
what made you become a

musician? You're a very
accomplished musician,
playing a number of

instruments, I believe.
How did that come
about?

ML: Well, my dad played
guitar, so I was always
brought up around the

instrument and around my
dad rehearsing and going to

rehearsals with my dad and stuff like that. I came from a very music loving sort of
family. Not a lot of people played things, but on both sides, mother’s and father’s, I
