couple of months. The lyrics, yeah, sometimes the more you listen to something,
once it starts forming itself as an actual idea that you can listen to, you might think
oh, actually no, I've got a better lyric here, or let's try this over this section. Yeah, so
it's nice to have the ability to go back and do that.
BiTS: You produced all this stuff yourself, I believe. Is that right?
ML: That's correct, yeah.
BiTS: And is that hard work for you, or something you enjoy doing?
ML: I absolutely love
producing and
making music and
forming ideas in all
kinds of ways,
whether it be for
myself, or for other
people. Obviously,
like anything else, it's
time-consuming, or it
can be [chuckles]. I
can definitely hold up
my hand and say that
I'm sometimes too
much of a perfection-
ist, which can some-
times hold things
back and add time to projects [laughs], which is good in the sense because you want
to be critical and want to make the best thing you can make, but also, yeah, to kind
of be kind to yourself and remember that it's probably only me that would worry
about certain things.
BiTS: The opener on the album is ‘50 Shades Of Blue’, which I think if my memory
serves me right, you released as a single before.
ML: Yeah, that's correct. I think that came out in March.
BiTS: Oh yeah, that was a long time ago.
ML: [Laughs] Yeah, about three months before the album release.
BiTS: Okay, and do you have a favourite track on the album at all?
ML: Ooh. There's a few I really like ‘Angels And Demons’. That was the one that kind
of just fell into my lap and I don't really know where that one came from. The
instrumental as well, ‘Hinode’, which means sunrise in Japanese.
BiTS: Oh, I was going to ask you what it meant [chuckles].
