ISLET – Theme of the month celebrations
“Progress is born of doubt and inquiry” and Cambridge is known for planting the seed of curiosity
in its learners and in order to keep the fire of curiosity burning the Cambridge wing offers a theme
every month; and in April the theme of the month was Islet. The learners explored the
pronunciation and definition of the word and reflected it by incorporating the theme in their
writing, illustration, poems, drawings, art, even in music and dance. The enthusiasm was really
high among the learners in this exploration and their month-long labour was returned in the form
of a celebration on the last working day before the summer holidays.
Though we are all confined to our homes, the school has done its best to tap the inner reserves
to make our young minds stay motivated and be keenly self-aware at all times. The month of
April provided our students with the unique opportunity of blending learning with
leadership roles and fun as well and this is evident from the galore of activities the students
were involved in.
