Report on Board Meetings
Since the last newsletter, the Section VIII Board
has held three Board meetings via Zoom – June 4,
September 3 and November 11. Business conducted
by the Board at the three meetings included:
• Planning for an ICD centenary dinner and
induction ceremony in Rotorua, September 18;
subsequently the event had to be cancelled
due to the introduction of COVID restrictions
in New Zealand
• Planning for an ICD centenary dinner and
induction ceremony in Perth, October 30;
successfully held despite the WA border closure
• Favourable report from the FY2021 audit
• Favourable financial reports at each meeting;
current assets of $386,424 AUD
• Review of the annual renewal fee for Fellows
– fee held at same level as 2020 considering
the COVID challenges faced by Fellows over the
past two years
• Dedicated efforts to get PPE donated by Henry
Schein to Sydney for distribution to Section
