President’s Message 57 year history of Section VIII. Perth was the ideal
location for this special ICD centenary event given
that the inaugural Section VIII induction ceremony
was held in Perth in 1964. It was unfortunate that
WA border closures prevented most Board members
and all but a few Fellows from outside Western
Australia attending this special occasion. I was one
of the fortunate few who made it across the border!

As this occasion was a celebration of the 100th
anniversary of ICD, both International Past President
Akira Senda of Japan and International President
Richard Smith of Texas sent greetings to Section
