ICD Centenary Dinner & Induction Ceremony in Perth

At long last, Section VIII has celebrated the 100th anniversary of ICD! 71 Fellows and 42 guests enjoyed
a special ICD centenary celebration at the Parmelia Hilton Perth on Saturday, October 30 during which 30
new Fellows were inducted. WA border closures prevented all but a few Fellows from other states and New
Zealand attending but did not dampen the excitement of coming together to be one of the first ICD centenary
celebrations in the world. It was obvious from the buzz in the room throughout the evening that everyone
was happy to be together after two challenging years with no ICD events in Australia or New Zealand.

Of the 30 new Fellows inducted on the night, 25 were inducted in person: Brent Allan, Sean Archibald,
Meredith Arcus, Gosia Barley, Graham Carmichael, Jennifer Chan, Laura Dalton-Ecker, John Day, Garry Ecker,
Amit Gurbuxani, Fritz Heitz, Andrew Hossen, Janice Kan, Jeremy Keating, Steve Naoum, Mark Nathan, Amanda
Phoon Nguyen, Don Rechichi, Girish Sasidharan, Lisa Standing, Margie Steffens OAM, Andrew Thompson,
Zara Torre and Jacinta Vu. All the new Fellows were from Western Australia with the exception of Girish
Sasidharan (from Tasmania) and Margie Steffens (from South Australia). Margie Steffens OAM and Jan Owen
AM were inducted as Honorary Fellows.
