1. Mounting the BOTTOM area/motion scanners

2. EOS edge features a motion safety system
based on 4 area/motion scanners type RSL-
400 manufactured by Leuze Electronics. Two
scanners are placed on the top of the gantry
monitoring a vertical area between patient and
mobile parts while the other two are placed at

the bottom of the gantry (floor level) monitoring
a horizontal area next to the mobile parts. All
four scanners are identical but are oriented and
programmed differently to monitor their
respective areas accordingly.
